Surface: Uniform matte silver-gray finish, free of scale and burrs; clean inner walls that resist scaling and do not contaminate the medium; Ra values typically range from 1.6 to 3.2 μm, lower than those of hot-rolled tubes but higher than those of BA/EP finished tubes.
Corrosion Resistance: The passivation film significantly enhances resistance to uniform corrosion, pitting corrosion, and crevice corrosion; 304 pickled tubes are resistant to fresh water, atmospheric exposure, and weak acids and alkalis; 316L is more suitable for highly corrosive environments such as seawater, chlor-alkali, and chemical processing.
